Managing Director - Fashion Retail, Auckland
As Managing Director you will provide leadership & articulate vision to the business. Working with the management team you will establish, implement and manage the strategies & policies of the company to achieve profitable growth within the New Zealand market and additional markets, as opportunities for profitable expansion arise. Key accountabilities include:

Leadership and Corporate Responsibility
- Establish & maintain a strong working relationship with the Group CEO.
- Position the business in the appropriate market niche.
- Motivate and lead the management team and ensure that there is clarity of objectives and focus for all employees and that there are clear and appropriate standards and measures of performance.
- Develop operating plans and financial budgets that support the company’s medium-term and long-term strategies.
- Attending monthly company group board meetings to report on performance & initiatives.
- Strategy and Business Management
- Promote the company’s business objectives with particular emphasis on growing market share.
- Oversee the company’s brand positioning and visibility and continue to build on the current leadership position.
- Be absolutely up to date with current worldwide product & merchandise trends.
- Have a clear understanding of & input into the ongoing product & pricing strategy.
- Ensure in-store merchandising strategies are current and promote product as the hero at all times.
- Identify opportunities for new store development and guide the ongoing store refurbishment program.
- Renew, refine & identify changes to drive the company’s growth strategies.
- Ensure to the best of your ability that the profit expectations of the chain are met
- Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating top-quality employees at all levels.
- Ensure that the company has an effective management team and has an active plan for its development and succession.
